Czechia wants to stage an EU summit along with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy within its forthcoming EU presidency, EU Affairs Minister Mikulas Bek told CTK today. Bek said the government might drop the original plan to stage several events outside Prague. This is due to the war in Ukraine and considerable economic problems. The Czech Republic will hold the EU presidency in the second half of this year. Bek said now a European summit devoted to one of the key topics such as energy security was being considered.
