Czechia has made progress in judicial reforms in the past year, but still it fails to effectively solve the problem of conflicts of interest on the top government level, the EC wrote in its second annual assessment of the rule of law in the 27 member states that it released today. Regarding the Czech Republic, the EC sees shortcomings persisting in the implementation of the government anti-corruption strategy.
