Top politicians and army representatives as well as war veterans commemorated the 103rd anniversary of Czechoslovakia's foundation at the National Memorial at Prague's Vitkov on Thursday. Prime Minister Andrej Babis, Senate chairman Milos Vystrcil (Civic Democratic Party, ODS), Defence Minister Lubomir Metnar (for ANO) and Chief of Staff Ales Opata laid wreathes at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. President Milos Zeman could not attend the ceremony as he is now in hospital. He was replaced with the head of the Presidential Military Office, Jan Kase.
