Czechia to push for Ukraine's EU candidacy - Senate deputy head

Czechia, during its forthcoming EU presidency, will promote the acceptance of Ukraine for a candidate for EU entry, Czech Senate deputy chairman Jiri Ruzicka told Ukraine parliament deputy chairwoman Olena Kondratyuk in Prague today. The Czechs will be explaining to other EU states why the granting of the EU candidate status to Ukraine is also important in connection with the current Russian invasion of Ukraine, Ruzicka said.
