The European Commission (EC) proposed Czechia gets an exception to imported Russian oil that would be valid until mid-2024, while Slovakia and Hungary would enjoy the exception until the end of 2024, Reuters news agency wrote today, referring to its diplomatic sources. The adjusted proposal of new sanctions against Russia reckons with an end of the Russian oil imports by the end of 2022. Ambassadors of the EU member states started to discuss the proposal this morning.
