Czechia to get 15 older tanks, buy some 50 new ones from Germany

Germany will donate to Czechia 15 tanks Leopard 2A4 and both countries will launch discussions about a purchase of up to 50 first-rate tanks Leopard 2A7 in various modifications, Defence Minister Jana Cernochova told the government today. The country may receive the donated vehicles this year. In the future, the military reckons with their modernisation, Jakub Fajnor from Defence Ministry press section told CTK. At the same time, Czech tank troopers will start training with the German vehicles.
