Czechia signs howitzer deal with French arms maker

The Czech Defence Ministry concluded a contract on the purchase of 52 CAESAR howitzers from the French Nexter Systems, for which it will pay 8.52 billion crowns including VAT, today. The 52 CAESAR self-propelled howitzers from Nexter are to replace the DANA howitzers that do not reflect the NATO requirements for shooting range and the calibre used by the allies.
