Czechia sees over 10,000 new COVID cases on Thursday

Laboratories in Czechia confirmed 10,395 new COVID cases on Thursday, roughly 2,000 more than a week ago and the overall incidence rate grew by 18 cases to 614 per 100,000 population in the past seven days, Health Ministry spokesman Daniel Koppl told CTK. However, the Thursday daily number of new confirmed infections was by 4,000 and 3,000 cases lower as against Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively. According to the Health Ministry website, 3,557 people are hospitalised over the coronavirus infection, roughly the same number as against the previous days, but 900 more than last Thursday.
