Czechia sees highest daily number of new COVID cases on holiday

The Czech Republic saw 12,977 confirmed new coronavirus cases on Wednesday, the highest daily number on a holiday since the March epidemic outbreak, while 174,965 people are currently infected, the Health Ministry said. So far, 2,675 patients with COVID-19 have died in the Czech Republic.
