October 1st, 2021

The duration of the Czech-Polish agreement on the Turow lignite mine and its impact on the Czech border region is the last, but crucial issue that remains to be solved and it is inadmissible that Poland may terminate the contract after two years, Czech Regional Governor Martin Puta told CTK today. Puta (Mayors and Independents, STAN), who heads of the north Bohemian Liberec Region neighbouring on Poland, said he still believed a compromise might be reached. He added the task is primarily up to the prime ministers of both countries.
