Czechia important partner, neighbour - Austria chancellor

The Czech Republic is Austria's important partner and neighbour, Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer said in a statement before his Tuesday's visit to Prague, mentioning Czechia's upcoming EU presidency but also Austria's negative stance on nuclear energy. On Tuesday, Nehammer will meet his Czech counterpart Petr Fiala, and, according to the information from his office, also with Czech Deputy PM Marian Jurecka. The war in Ukraine and the Czech Republic's presidency of the Council of the EU are to be the main topics on the agenda, Nehammer's office said.
