Czechia hit by storm at night, thousands places without power

June 30th, 2021

Czechia was swept by heavy storms that left behind 145,000 clients without electricity, reduced or suspended traffic on some roads due to fallen branches and trees and increased water levels in some rivers, but no serious injury was reported, firefighters and power distributors told CTK today. The second level of flood warning was declared for the Uslava River in west Bohemia near Plzen.
