Czech writer Rudis to get Order of Merit from German president

Czech writer Jaroslav Rudis will be among the 16 personalities whom German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier will decorate with the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany for their culture activities on October 1, the president's office announced. The orders will be presented on the occasion of the German Unity Day celebrated on 3 October, marking the reunification of the Federal Republic of Germany (West Germany) and the German Democratic Republic (East Germany) in 1990.
