Czech woman has Omicron variant, hospital confirms

The Liberec hospital today confirmed that the woman who caught coronavirus had the Omicron variant and is the first confirmed case of this variant in Czechia. The World Health Organization (WHO) considers the Omicron variant, which was detected for the first time in South Africa on November 9, alarming because it its potentially more transmissible than other variants.
