Czech willingness to help Ukrainian refugees falling - poll

June 30th, 2022

Czechs are less willing to help Ukrainian refugees at their own expense due to their fears of the current economic development, shows a poll conducted by the STEM agency and released today. In mid-June, 53 percent of people agreed with help for refugees, while at the beginning of April, the support was 11 percentage points higher. The number of people refusing to help refugees also grew bigger, as 26 percent of the polled now absolutely rule out any support, this share was ten percentage points lower in the beginning of April.
