The Czech Supreme ourt has dismissed the appeal of a same-sex couple who wanted the adoption of their children to be recognised by the Czech authorities, citing private international law that does not allow to approve a decision against Czech law. The couple, a Czech man and his partner from Trinidad and Tobago, who live in the United States, wanted their adopted children to be recognised in the Czech Republic while travelling there in order for them to be eligible for health insurance and other family benefits.
