Czech state to pay compensation to nurse acquitted of murder charges

The Czech state has to pay a compensation of some 1.57 million crowns for unlawful prosecution to nurse Vera Maresova, whom a court acquitted of murders of six patients in a hospital in January 2016 and who spent more than one year in custody, the Prague district court ruled on Thursday. This verdict can still be appealed.
