Czech Senate chairman Milos Vystrcil and Taiwanese Foreign Minister Joseph Wu discussed economic cooperation and cyber security on Wednesday, Vystrcil told journalists. Vystrcil decorated Wu with the Senate chairman silver medal for his contribution to the development of Czech-Taiwanese relations and for his and Taiwan's commitment to defending democracy and freedom. "We spoke about other chances of economic cooperation and we also touched upon security quite strongly. We also received an offer from the Taiwanese side that we should closely cooperate on both affairs," Vystrcil said. Wu said he held the decoration from the head of the Czech upper house in high esteem. This is his first visit to the Czech Republic. Wu said the medal was not only for him but also for the Taiwanese people. He added that the medal also belonged to his country that was trying to take part in international organisations.
