The Czech Senate called on the cabinet in a resolution today to continue with the quick supplies of further military materiel to Ukraine faced by Russian aggression and recommended to send in heavy weapons from the equipment of the pre-1989 Czechoslovak army. In the resolution, initiated by the Senate foreign, defence and security committee, the upper house of parliament stated that the Czech Republic has been providing Ukraine with military materiel and equipment including heavy weapons in accordance with the UN charter on self-defence.
