Czech Senate commemorating 1918 foundation of Czechoslovakia

Senate representatives commemorated Czechoslovakia's foundation in 1918 by laying flowers at the statue of the first Czechoslovak President Tomas Garrigue Masaryk at the Hradcanske square in Prague. Senate chairman Milos Vystrcil (Civic Democratic Party, ODS) said it was necessary to insist on national independence and sovereignty and democratic principles.
