The Czech nanosatellite VZLUSAT-1 developed by the Czech Aerospace Research Centre (VZLU) in cooperation with local companies and universities marks its fifth year in orbit today, which makes it the longest-orbiting Czech satellite, the VZLU has told CTK. Even though the original lifespan estimate was about a year, the institute says all the systems of the satellite are still fully working and they purvey scientific and technological data as is confirmed by the general director of the VZLU, Josef Kaspar, who marked it a success.
