The number of Covid-19 cases rose by 1,841 in Czech Republic on Sunday, which is the largest Sunday increase and the fourth largest weekend day increase since the start of the epidemic in March, and the death toll rose by 11 to total 727, according to data released by the Health Ministry. On the previous Sunday, September 27, the daily number of newly confirmed cases was about 500 lower than now. The number of active infections stands at 37,570 and 1,182 people are being treated in hospital for Covid-19, 274 of whom are in a serious condition.
