Czech Republic new Covid cases up again

The Czech Republic confirmed 157 new Covid cases on Monday, 39 more than a week ago, which means that the drop in daily incidence stopped, data from the health ministry show. The incidence rate standing for the number of people infected per 100,000 population in the past seven days mildly increased from 6.5 to 6.8 cases. The reproduction number, which shows the average number of those who contract Covid-19 from one infected person, rose slightly to 0.97 and is closely below the breaking point 1.00 that indicates a slowdown in the epidemic. The last time that the reproduction number was above 1.00 in the country was in mid-April.
