Czech Republic logs biggest daily rise in Covid cases since late March

The Czech Republic registered 7,591 cases of coronavirus infection on Monday, the biggest number since late March and about 3,300 more than a week ago, the Czech Health Ministry said this morning. It was the first time that the number of new cases was over 7,000 in the latest coronavirus wave. Hospitals are treating 1,813 Covid patients, 185 more than on Sunday. A total of 256 patients are in a serious condition.
