Czech Republic logs biggest Sunday rise in Covid cases since late April

The Czech Republic's 787 new Covid-19 cases reported on Sunday have been the highest Sunday increase since late April and 451 more than on previous Sunday, which represents a more than 100 percent acceleration of the epidemic week-on-week, data from the health ministry show. The number of Covid patients in hospital continues to rise as well. It increased by about one third, to 463, as against last Sunday. Out of them, 86 are in a serious condition, which is two fifths more than a week ago.
