Czech Republic logs biggest daily rise in Covid cases since mid-July

The Czech Republic saw 306 new Covid-19 cases on Thursday, which was the highest daily figure since mid-July and 95 more than week ago, and the reproduction number, standing for the average number of those infected with Covid by one person, rose to 1.12, data from the Health Ministry show. Laboratories in Czechia conducted almost 100,000 tests for Covid-19 on Thursday, 12,700 more than on Wednesday, including more than 56,000 PCR tests, which was their highest daily figure so far, according to available data.
