The Czech Republic registered 658 Covid-19 cases on Tuesday, the smallest number on a workday since September 7, according to data released by the health ministry. The increase in the number of the infected was almost half the rate of increase seen a week ago. Last Tuesday, there were about 1,200 new confirmed cases. Since early March, when the epidemic came to a head with almost 17,000 cases a day, the number has been gradually diminishing. Since the first outbreak last March, the Czech Republic has registered some 1.66 million cases. The death toll now stands at 30,054.
