May 19th, 2021
The Czech Republic registered 1,191 new Covid cases on Tuesday, the lowest daily rise since early September and 1,690 fewer than the previous Tuesday, with the number of new cases per 100,000 population in the past week falling by four to 63 today and standing below 100 in all regions, data from the health ministry show. The coronavirus epidemic has been steadily slowing down in Czechia. Out of the 14 regions, only South Bohemia, Moravia-Silesia and Zlin (southeast Moravia) still have the infection incidence above 75/100,000, which is a limit for a further relaxation of epidemic restrictions.
