The Czech Republic registered 14,151 new Covid-19 cases on Thursday, some 800 fewer than Wednesday's record rise, with a total of 4,777 Covid-19 patients being treated in hospital, including 735 in a serious condition, the Health Ministry said on its website. The number of fatalities stands at 1,845, including 355 coronavirus patients who died this week. On Wednesday, 113 died, which has been the highest daily death toll so far. There are some 134,000 active cases in the country. Since March, about 223,000 people have tested positive for coronavirus and more than 87,000 of them have recovered.
