The PES anti-epidemic system's Covid risk index remained at 71 points in the Czech Republic on Friday, which corresponds to the fourth risk degree out of five, and the reproduction R number has not changed substantially since Thursday, data released by the Health Ministry show. The index has been on the fourth alert degree, from 61 to 75 points, since mid-January, but the valid anti-coronavirus measures in the country correspond to the strictest, fifth degree. At first, the PES index was to guide the lockdown rules. However, Health Minister Jan Blatny said last week that the PES score was no longer relevant for this purpose.
