The epidemic situation in the Czech Republic is by far the worst in the European Union when it comes to the number of the Covid cases per 100,000 population in the past 14 days, while Estonia and Slovakia follow, according to data released by the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) on Friday. The Czech Republic reports 1,120 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants and a week ago, it had 968 cases. Estonia ranks second with 703 cases and Slovakia follows with 526.
