Czech Republic introduces new rules on Covid testing, quarantine

January 17th, 2022

The rules on Covid quarantine in the Czech Republic are changing from Monday, requiring even those who are vaccinated to quarantine after coming into contact with a coronavirus-positive person. The rules on testing have also changed and now apply to all employees with some exceptions for medical and social-care professionals. All unvaccinated health-care staff and social-care workers are obliged to undergo professional Covid testing once a week. According to an urgent measure of the health ministry, there will still be an exemption from the testing for vaccinated health-care professionals and social workers and the employees in medicine and social care who had contracted Covid in the past six months and recovered.
