The Czech Republic is interested in purchasing two million Covid-19 vaccine doses from US firm Pfizer, having joined the European Union efforts, Health Minister Jan Blatny told journalists on Wednesday. Earlier, the government had approved the acquisition of three million doses of a different serum, from the firm AstraZaneca. The first vaccines may reach the Czech Republic in the first three months of next year, Blatny said. Last week, the Czech Republic joined the unbinding agreement on the deliveries of the vaccines, negotiated by the European Commission, Blatny said.
