Czech Rep's Little Mole cartoon figure creator dies

Czech illustrator and director of animated films Zdenek Miler, who created the famous Little Mole cartoon figure, died at the age of 90 today, doctor Roman Smucler from the sanatorium in Nova Ves pod Plesi near Prague told CTK. The stories of the Little Mole, called Krtek in Czech, were translated into a number of languages. Children in German know the small animal created by Miler under the name Der Maulwurf, Polish children call him Krecik, in Italy he is called La Talpa and in Finland Myyran.
