Czech regions hail broder-crossing stamp as condition for refugee aid

May 17th, 2022

Czech regions welcome the change in the system of the 5,000-crown subsidy the state pays to Ukrainian refugees per person a month, which is newly available only to those who produce a stamp documenting their crossing of the border from Ukraine to the Schengen area, Martin Netolicky told has CTK. The duty for the applicants to produce the stamp before registering in refugee assistance centres has taken effect as of today, Netolicky (3PK/Social Democrats), the governor of the Pardubice Region, said after the 14 governors' talks with Interior Minister Vit Rakusan (Mayors and Independents, STAN).
