The conflict in Ukraine must be resolved in a diplomatic and peaceful way, one cannot yield to Russian threats and no possible aggression can be accepted, Prime Minister Petr Fiala (Civic Democrats, ODS) told reporters in South Moravia on Monday. The Czech government's stance is important and the cabinet has clearly stood behind Ukraine, Fiala said in reaction to President Milos Zeman's remarks over the weekend. Zeman said he did not share fears of a possible Russian aggression against Ukraine and considered the current tension just "a war of words" on both sides.
