Czech PM backs Kyiv's EU entry effort, says situation not usual

Czech PM Petr Fiala supports Ukraine's effort to join the EU, and it must be clearly shown that Ukraine is welcome in the European community of democratic states, he told CTK today in reaction to the Ukrainian president's request that his country be immediately admitted to the EU. Fiala emphasised that he is convinced that Ukrainians have deserved this and that everything is possible. EC President Ursula von der Leyen said in a Sunday interview with Euronews that Ukraine belongs to the EU and that the EU would like Ukraine to become its part over time.
