Culture Minister Antonin Stanek and National Museum head Michal Lukes received items from the inheritance of Edvard and Hana Benes, a former Czechoslovak presidential couple, at the Czech embassy in Washington on Thursday. The items belonged to Hana Regina Pohl, a great-grandniece of the Beneses who had emigrated to the USA in 1986. The Prague-based museum has got more than 50 items and hundreds of photograph, including a fur coat in which Hana Benesova arrived in the United States for the first time, Benes's personal shaving set and photographs from the couple's life.
