Czech MPs send proposed deficit of 500 billion to second reading

The Chamber of Deputies, the lower house of Czech parliament, sent the government-proposed rise in the 2020 state budget deficit to record 500 billion crowns to the second reading after a five-hour debate today. MPs rejected the opposition's proposal to return the draft to the cabinet for rewriting.
