Czech MPs pass bill enhancing ministry's pandemic restriction powers

The Czech Health Ministry and public health authorities are likely to be empowered to impose broad COVID restrictions concerning manufacturers, shops, services, public and private events on the national as well as regional level etc based on the "pandemic" bill the lower house passed today. If also passed by the Senate, the bill, which applies exclusively to the COVID-19 pandemic, may make the state of national emergency no longer necessary for imposing broad pandemic restrictions.
