Czech military must prepare for "post-Afghan period" - minister

The Czech military must prepare for the "post-Afghan" period, Defence Minister Alexandr Vondra said at a seminar on Czech participation in foreign military missions, held in the upper house of parliament on Monday. Vondra (Civic Democrats, ODS) said he did not share the opinion that the ten-year participation in the ISAF mission in Afghanistan has "Afghanised" Czech soldiers. They will use the experience and the equipment they gained in fulfilling further tasks, Vondra said.
