The Czech military has allocated 1,000 soldiers to the NATO Very High Readiness Joint Task Force (VJTF), which must be able to react to major crises within five days, as of January 2020, the military announced on its website today. These soldiers will be on alert the whole year. The Czech, Spanish, Polish and British battalions are part of the VJFT international brigade of approximately 5,000 troops.
