July 2nd, 2021

A 41-year-old man who took a woman hostage in a shop in Ceske Budejovice on Wednesday has been accused of hostage-taking and faces up to 12 years in prison, South Bohemia police spokesman Milan Bajcura told CTK. On Saturday, a court will decide whether the man will be taken into custody, he added. The assailant held the woman hostage for about an hour. The woman is injured, but her life is not in danger. The middle-aged woman suffered mild incised wounds and was transported to the Ceske Budejovice hospital on Wednesday.
