Czech lower house to deal with emergency extension on Thursday morning

The Czech Chamber of Deputies will deal with the government request to further extend the state of emergency declared over the coronavirus pandemic as early as Thursday morning, instead of the afternoon as originally planned, its chairman Radek Vondracek told CTK. The government has asked for the lower house's approval of a 30-day prolongation until Tuesday, March 16. Without the extension, the state of national emergency expires on Feb. 14.
