A recent police raid on the labour ministry is no reason for Jana Malacova to step down as minister, she said on Tuesday, and has been backed in her opinion by Deputy PM and CSSD leader Jan Hamacek. Hamacek stressed that Malacova figures only as a witness in the case of scheming in placing a public contract and a planned abuse of power within public procurement, of which two ministry officials have been accused.
