Czech judges against choice of newcomers following Polish model

Czech courts' representatives are against the commissions that select new judges being nominated by the justice minister, they said at a conference on Friday, voiced fears of politicians' influence on the judiciary and warned of the experience of Slovakia and practices similar to Poland's. The conference in the Chamber of Deputies was organised by the Judges' Union.
