The Czech Federation of Jewish Communities in the Czech Republic (FZO) reported 874 manifestations of anti-Semitism in 2020, 180 more than in 2019, mostly online hate speech, while only one violent incident with an anti-Semitic motive occurred, the FZO said in a statement on Wednesday. Conspiracy theories related to anti-Semitism saw a massive increase in incidence over the coronavirus pandemic, the press release implies. "A crushing majority of all recorded anti-Semitic incidents, 98 percent, represents online hate speech: articles, posts on social media, anonymous comments and entries in discussions," the FZO said in its 2020 report.
