The list of the government officials who are entitled to permanent police protection has been extended to also include the industry and trade minister based on the cabinet's decision on Monday, news portal iDNES.cz has reported. The post of the industry and trade minister is currently held by Karel Havlicek, who was granted temporary police protection once in the past, in connection with a meeting of the coal commission, the government's advisory body tasked, among others, to set a timetable and way for Czechia to reduce brown coal use.
