Czech heavy-duty vehicles head to Lithuania for NATO exercise

November 4th, 2020

Two convoys with Czech heavy-duty vehicles and 200 soldiers set out to Lithuania as the Czech military will join Brilliant Jump, one of the biggest 2020 NATO exercises practising the NATO Response Force (NRF) joint deployment, a 71st mechanised battalion spokesman has told CTK. Some 2,500 soldiers fly, take trains and roads and travel across the sea from Europe to reach Lithuania, the spokesman Radek Hampl added. The naval part of the exercise lasted from late September until early October, Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) said on its website.
