The Czech cabinet on Monday earmarked 150 million crowns (EUR 5.5m) for the purchase of three million doses of anti-Covid-19 vaccines within the deal the European Union has struck with suppliers, and the first part of the supply is to arrive before the end of the year, Health Minister Roman Prymula said. The first part will make up 10 percent of the overall planned volume, he said. The Czech Republic can buy a total of seven million doses. In the summer, the cabinet decided to buy only a half of this number in order to have money for purchasing vaccines from other producers as well.
